EMDR Therapy

You no longer have to be triggered by disturbing events in your life.

EMDR Therapy

Process and heal from your past and live fully in the present.

What is EMDR Therapy

Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR) is a way for clients to process and heal from past traumatic or disturbing events without necessarily telling the therapist all the gritted details of what occurred. Because sometimes we do not remember all the details and it can also be re-traumatizing to retell what happened.

EMDR Therapy provides a safe space for the brain to do what it was unable to do or has been unable to do when the disturbing event happened. The brain was unable to put the memories in the correct place so that we are no longer triggered.

How does EMDR Therapy help?

If you find yourself getting triggered by sounds, colors, scents, people, places, or anything else associated with past disturbing or traumatic events, it indicates that your brain hasn't processed and stored those memories properly.

Merely pushing these memories to the back of your mind or compartmentalizing them isn't an effective way to deal with or process them. Attempting to forget, avoid talking about, or ignore the events won't lead to healing.

EMDR Therapy is highly effective in addressing these memories and events at their core, enabling you to overcome triggers. Through EMDR, you won't forget that the event occurred, and you'll acknowledge that it was a terrible experience. However, you'll no longer be triggered by the memories associated with those events.

You'll gain the ability to openly discuss what happened without feeling blame, shame, guilt, anger, frustration, or hurt. EMDR Therapy can provide you with the freedom to process and heal from these past traumas, empowering you to reclaim control over your life.

EMDR Can Work Faster Than Traditional Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) offers a rapid path to confronting and overcoming the past events that have been holding you back.

This unique therapy allows you to process and heal from trauma in a way that may seem unconventional but has proven effectiveness.

It's important to note that EMDR Therapy follows a strict 8-Phase Protocol and should only be administered by a trained EMDR therapist, such as myself.

Unlike other therapies, EMDR addresses both the brain and the body, resulting in more comprehensive and enduring relief from your distress.

EMDR can complement the work you're already doing with your regular counselor. By helping you move from a state of being stuck to becoming unstuck, EMDR enhances the effectiveness of your ongoing therapy.

With EMDR, you can experience a transformative journey towards healing and reclaiming control over your life.

EMDR gets you to the root of what occurred so that you can get past the blocks, past being stuck, past the blame, the doubt, the anger, and the hurt.

Don't let your past keep you stuck. Live the life you desire no matter what happened in your past.
